Comprised of violinist Francesca dePasquale, cellist Juliette Herlin, and pianist Fei-Fei Dong, the Aletheia Piano Trio is quickly rising to acclaim for their impassioned energy, musical integrity, and formidable ensemble. Formed in 2013 at the Juilliard School, the trio has performed at the Rose Studio and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York and the Terrace Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. They have coached with artists such as David Finckel, Joseph Kalichstein, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Ida Kavafian, Merry Peckham, and Vivian Weilerstein. In addition to their studies at Juilliard, the trio has attended the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop, performing as an ensemble and with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Roger Tapping, and Donald Weilerstein.

Highlights of recent performances include debut appearances at the Harvard Club of New York, the Perlman Music Program Alumni Recital series, Second Sunday Concert series (Bethlehem, PA), Music at the Institute series at the Ukrainian Institute (New York, NY), and the Hewlett Woodmere Library series (Hewlett, NY), as well as a return performance at the American Irish Historical Society (New York, NY). Upcoming performances include debut appearances at the Shandelee Music Festival (Livingston Manor, NY), the Saint Vincent College Concert series (Latrobe, PA), and the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach, as well as a return performance at the Second Sunday Concert series.

Members of the Aletheia Piano Trio bring together an extraordinary background of chamber music experience and cultural explorations, collaborating with artists such as the Brentano String Quartet, Gérard Caussé, Paul Coletti, Jérôme Ducros, Jennifer Frautschi, Alexander Kerr, Ronald Leonard, Robert Levin, Anne-Marie McDermott, Robert McDuffie, and Jérôme Pernoo. Additionally, they have performed as featured artists for the Bravo! Vail music festival, Olympic Music Festival, Manhattan Chamber Players, Marinus Ensemble, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, Music@Menlo, Music in the Vineyards, Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music series, Colburn Chamber Music Society, Yellow Barn, and Les vacances de Monsieur Haydn.

In addition to performing the classical repertoire, the Aletheia Piano Trio is committed to supporting the creation of new music for the piano trio medium, as well as discovering the lesser-known works of the repertoire. The trio recently gave the North American premiere of Ukrainian composer Hennadiy Lyashenko’s piano trio.

The ensemble is named for Aletheia, the Greek concept of sincerity, which celebrates their approach to realizing musical works, as well as their connection with each other and their audiences.
