Landmark Quintets

Famed Hungarian composer Ernst von Dohnányi taught at Florida State in Tallahassee from 1949 to 1960. His Piano Quintet is his Opus 1, romantic, fiery, and full of youthful energy. The second Dvořák Piano Quintet in A, Op. 81 is among his most popular and enduring chamber works. With its infectious Czech spirit, it brings a joyous ending to the CMSPB’s season.
